Course Description: This course builds a knowledge base of the theories and practices surrounding multiple intelligences, MI lesson planning, Cooperative Learning lesson planning, and Cross-Age Tutoring lesson planning.

How The Program Works

This inservice program is designed to build your competence in writing lesson plans for multiple intelligences, cooperative learning, and cross-age tutoring. You may contract with your inservice mentor to determine the number of inservice points you wish to earn.

  • Each project is worth a specified number of inservice points. A Handbook and Textbook will be provided by the mentor.
  • Some activities will be described on the Projects page and will direct you to the Handbook or the Textbook.
  • Once you have completed the project, send the results to your inservice mentor by e-mail, fax, or school mail.
  • The inservice mentor will evaluate your projects and record the points.
  • When you have completed the projects you selected from the portfolio, the mentor will issue you a certificate of inservice credit.
  • As many as 60 inservice points can be earned for "Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom."

Format of the essays and activities: Each activity and essay must be a minimum of 100 words.  Use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. 

 

Scoring CEUs

1 point per activity or essay; 10 points = 1 CEU

 

Applying for the CEU Certificate

When you have completed the CEU requirements, contact Dr. Morris who will make application for your CEU certificate.  When emailing your instructor, be sure to include your full name, school district, school, and your mailing address.  Your certificate will be issued and mailed to you.

            1 CEU costs $20.00 (5 CEUs = $100.00; 6 CEUs = $120.00)
